Standards and Frameworks

Discover the Secure Identity Alliance’s standards and frameworks, designed to guide industry best practices and strengthen secure, trusted digital identity worldwide.

OSIA

OSIA (Open Standards Identity API) enables seamless connectivity between all components of the identity management ecosystem – independent of technology, solution architecture or vendor.

OSIA is an official International Telecoms Union (ITU) standard. ITU Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Recommendation X.1281 – APIs for interoperability of identity management systems.

ADIA

The Accountable Digital Identity Network (ADI-Network) is a distributed identity system consisting of people, processes and technologies that together deliver global digital identity services for individuals.

eSEC

The eDocument Scheme for Evaluating Physical Security (eSEC) has been designed by the SIA’s Document Security Working Group and other experts of the ID documents sector to help governments develop secure eDocuments. It can be used as a self-assessment tool to evaluate the physical security of current documents, the security impact of additional design changes, or simply to learn and understand what is required to build a ‘secure eDocument’.

SIDI Hub

SIDI Hub is a community where governments, NGOs, standards bodies, private entities, multilaterals and academic organizations collaborate following a shared roadmap.
